U-Haul planning to take over former West Columbia K-Mart building

The former K-Mart building in West Columbia will become U-Haul-owned storage units. The 700-unit space will be climate controlled, according to a report in The State newspaper of Columbia. The building is about 100,000-sq.ft. The deal is still in the works. K-Mart announced it would close the West Columbia store in September of 2019.
