Irmo Fire District and Lexington County EMS were on the scene of a vehicle accident with injuries. It occurred Thursday around 2 p.m., in the 3700 block of Fernandina Road. The road was completely blocked, and EMS crews said delays were expected in the area and to use alternate routes.

Personnel from the Irmo Police Department, and other emergency response crews, were on the scene of a vehicle collision just before 10:30 a.m., Wednesday. It was at the intersection of Lake Murray Boulevard and Columbiana Drive in Irmo. Police asked motorists to avoid the area of the accident if at all possible.
