Brookland-Cayce exploded in the fifth inning Thursday night at home and took an 8-1 win over Dreher in the Lower State baseball playoffs. With the win, Brookland-Cayce will host the winner of the Beaufort-Hanahan game on Saturday. A Brookland-Cayce High School athlete has declared his intent to play football at the college level. Jalani Golston participated in a signing ceremony Friday, declaring his intent to play with Georgia Military College. The offensive tackle finished his senior season this past fall with selections to All-Region and the Palmetto I-20 Classic.
