Vehicle overturns in Lexington, emergency crews on the scene

A collision involving an overturned vehicle occurred Thursday afternoon in the 200 block of Cedarcrest Drive. One lane was closed, due to the crash, according to the Lexington Police Department. Police were asking drivers to please seek an alternate route away from the collision scene.

Coroner releases name of 17-year-old recovered from the Congaree River in Cayce

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the victim of a suspected drowning, Wednesday. The body of the victim was recovered from the Congaree River at approximately 9 p.m., Wednesday. Officers clear road after crash in Lexington

A collision on Sunset Blvd. at I-20 has traffic slowed or stopped in the area Wednesday afternoon before 2 p.m. Vehicles involved were removed from the road by Lexington Police officers and Lexington County Sheriff’s Department Traffic Division deputies. The collision was caused by a driver disregarding the traffic signal light.
