Man gets life sentence in death of 2-year-old

Joshua Warren Hopkins has been sentenced to life in prison. Hopkins, 29, was found guilty in a Lexington County Court of Homicide by child abuse and aiding and abetting homicide by child abuse. 20,000 without power in Lexington County

There were 10,010 homes in Lexington County with no power around 7 a.m. Saturday, according to SCE&G. By 8:45 a.m. there were close to 20,000 without power in Lexington County. The company anticipated 100,000 outages from Hurricane Matthew. The category 2 hurricane brushed the coast near Hilton Head overnight.
