First Rhythm on the River Fall Concert is held

Bennett and Coolidge (left) played before Deleveled at the CMC Rhythm on the River Fall Concert Series, Friday. The music begins at 6 p.m. at the West Columbia Amphitheatre.  The next concert is Sept. 18 and features The Travelin’ Kine.

Airport goes to Dreher, brings back a win

Airport scored a 23-20 win at Dreher, Friday night. The, now 2-0, Eagles won with backup quarterback Josh Tucker. He replaced starting QB Brett Burnett, who was hurt last week in Airport’s win over Brookland-Cayce. West Columbia Police on accident scene on Sunset Boulevard

There was a two-car collision about 6:20 p.m. Friday. West Columbia Police and the West Columbia Fire Department responded to the collision that took place on Sunset Boulevard, near the Jarvis Klapman on ramp. Traffic was being delayed and detoured while officers worked the scene.

The Lexington Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual involved in the burglary of Stephano’s Restaurant.
