Cayce Fire Department responds to fuel spill on I-77, Thursday

The Cayce Fire Department and Columbia’s HazMat Team were on the scene of a fuel spill from a tractor trailer. It happened before noon Thursday, on I 77 at the north bound mile marker 2. One lane of traffic was shut down and drivers were asked to use caution traveling through the area.

Vehicle fire on I-77 temporarily blocks lanes

I-77 South is blocked at the 2-mile marker due to a tractor trailer fire. The SC Highway Patrol is advising drivers to expect delays and find an alternate route. After 2 p.m. fire units were still on the scene as traffic backed up on I-77.
