
Mota Crosslinking Business Academy Recognized by West Columbia City Council with Resolution on its 5th Anniversary
Mota Crosslinking Business Academy was recognized by the West Columbia City Council, Tuesday, with a resolution commemorating its 5th Anniversary. The Resolution is below photo of the resolution being presented.

WHEREAS, Mota Crosslinking Business Academy (MCBA) established its primary headquarters in West Columbia in 2022, recognizing the city’s dynamic growth, vibrant business community, and strategic location as an ideal environment to advance entrepreneurship and support a thriving multicultural economy; and
WHEREAS, Mota Crosslinking Business Academy is a bilingual and multicultural institution with a global vision, committed to advancing the continuous education of both emerging and established entrepreneurs; and
WHEREAS, Mota Crosslinking Business Academy develops and delivers innovative programs and curricula that strengthen businesses, promote entrepreneurship, and foster long-term economic sustainability; and
WHEREAS, Mota Crosslinking Business Academy has awarded numerous scholarships to aspiring entrepreneurs and startup founders, ensuring equitable access to education and opportunities for underserved and underrepresented populations; and
WHEREAS, Mota Crosslinking Business Academy has graduated more than 200 students, providing entrepreneurial education in both English and Spanish and helping remove language barriers for diverse
communities seeking to start or grow businesses; and
WHEREAS, Mota Crosslinking Business Academy has seen 75% of their graduates successfully open and register businesses throughout the Midlands, with several of these businesses operating within the city limits of West Columbia and contributing to the growth of the local economy; and
WHEREAS, Mota Crosslinking Business Academy utilizes education, collaboration, and community engagement, to build inclusive, resilient, and thriving entrepreneurial communities within the City of West Columbia and across the State of South Carolina;
WHEREAS, Mota Crosslinking Business Academy promotes multiculturalism, inclusion, and economic progress through its Crosslinking Markets Program and its statewide Crosslinking Events, which celebrate the cultural and economic contributions of diverse communities; and
WHEREAS, Mota Crosslinking Business Academy celebrates the multicultural business community through
various events, including local and state monthly Business Circles creating opportunities between entrepreneurs, community leaders, resource providers, and public agencies; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of West Columbia, South Carolina, that the City hereby recognizes and congratulates Mota Crosslinking Business Academy on the celebration of its 5th Anniversary on April 20, 2026, honoring its dedication to entrepreneurial education, multicultural engagement, and economic development.
