Coroner IDs 73-year-old man who died in 4-car crash

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died in a four-vehicle collision that occurred at approximately 1:45, Wednesday afternoon.

It happened near the SC State Farmers Market, in the 3400 block of U.S. 321, Charleston Highway, in West Columbia. Here’s a link to the initial story

According to Fisher, Mr. Foster H. Yarborough Jr., 73, of Columbia was traveling northbound when an oncoming vehicle lost control, crossed through the median, and the two collided head-on. Mr. Yarborough, who was wearing a seat belt when the collision occurred, was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple traumatic injuries.

The incident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
