1 dead after 4-car collision near State Farmer’s Market

One person died, Wednesday, in a Lexington County crash involving four vehicles on US 321, near the SC State Farmers Market. The collision occurred about 1:45 p.m., said Master Trooper David Jones of the SC Highway Patrol.

A 2019 Dodge Charger, moving southbound on US 321, struck the back of a 1999 Honda van. The contact caused the van to cross the center line and hit a 2019 Honda CRV head on, said Jones. The CRV went airborne and hit a 2014 Suburban. The driver of the CRV was killed on the scene of the collision.

Jones said the driver of the Dodge Charger was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the van and the driver of the Suburban were also taken to the hospital with injuries.

The SCHP and the SCHP MAIT Team are investigating the incident.
