Lexington County Fire Service puts fire out at Lexington home

Around 9:30 p.m., Friday, Lexington County Fire Service units responded to a structure fire at the 100 block of Raymond Circle in Lexington. Smoke was showing from the two-story home as units arrived on scene. The fire was brought under control. No injuries were reported. (LCFS photo)

Airport High School Cheer Team winning in cheer competitions

The Airport High School Cheer Team has competed in 3 competitions in 5 days. Airport Cheer took first place, in the Tomahawk Cheer Classic and second place in the Wildcat Classic. The team also scored a second place in the Battle at the Bluff, at River Bluff High School.

The West Columbia Police Department has been awarded $12,230.00 from the FY 2022 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) by the Department of Justice.
