Mardi Valentino recognized by City of West Columbia, SC Senate upon retirement

Mardi Valentino, the City of West Columbia’s human resources director, is retiring. At the city council meeting, Tuesday, she was recognized with a resolution from the city, presented by Tem Miles, Mayor Pro-Tem. State Sen. Nikki Setzler also presented Valentino with a resolution from the state Senate.

Rebecca “Fannie” Dawkins turning 102, recognized by City of West Columbia with resolution

Rebecca “Fannie” Dawkins was recognized at the West Columbia City Council meeting Tuesday. She turns 102 Thursday. Dawkins is the eldest resident of West Columbia. Lexington man dies in crash, coroner identifies

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died in a single-vehicle accident that occurred in the 5000 block of U.S. Highway 178 in Leesville, Tuesday. Vehicle overturns, results in road closing in Lexington

All lanes of the 300 block of Railroad Avenue were closed due to a single vehicle collision, Tuesday morning. The Lexington Police Department reported about 10 a.m. that the driver of an overturned vehicle sustained minor injuries in the crash.
