Weekend’s Congaree Bluegrass Festival expands w/ exhibitions and art

The City of Cayce’s 9th Annual Congaree Bluegrass Festival will feature  a larger show  on Oct.  1 and 2.  The Congaree Bluegrass Festival begins at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Davis Orthodontics donates to Lexington 2 Schools

Coroner reports 1,621 deaths in Lexington County in 2015

In an annual report released Wednesday afternoon, Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher said there were 1,691 deaths in the county in 2015. Of those, 1,492 were of natural causes. Two females have were shot Monday night at Boardwalk Villas in Lexington County, according to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department. Both were transported to the hospital.
