Gray wins big again in state playoffs

Gray Collegiate in West Columbia defeated  Andrew Jackson 93-to -41 Saturday in 2A high school basketball playoff action. It is the second playoff win for Gray. The War Eagles defeated Chesnee last week, 114-to-33. In Saturday’s game, Gray’s Juwan Gary scored 39 points.

Brookland-Cayce Baseball 5k fundraiser was Saturday

The Brookland-Cayce Baseball 5k was held Saturday. BC Baseball Coach and Athletic Director Rusty Charpia gets ready to start the run, after thanking the dozens of runners participating. It is the 6th year for the run/walk. The Brookland-Cayce Baseball 5K is the biggest fundraiser for Bearcat Baseball.

Brookland-Cayce defeated Timberland Friday night , 60-36. It was Round Two of the State Playoffs. With the win, BC will move on to play at Ridgeland-Hardeville on Tuesday.
