Woods fire causes smokey conditions in the Red Bank area of Lexington County

Lexington County administrators reported a multi-acre woods fire at the intersection of Platt Springs Road and South Lake Drive in the Red Bank area, after 9 a.m. Thursday. The fire was causing smoke on the road. The report stated that “Stumps and other material in the burned area will continue to smolder over the next few days. The fire is under control and Lexington County Fire is monitoring the conditions within the burned area.”
