Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the pedestrian who died as a result of being struck by a vehicle Wednesday, in Lexington, at approximately 9:20 p.m. in the 1500 block of North Lake Drive. 

According to Fisher, Ms. Terry B. Aughtry, 60, of Lexington was walking in the road when she was struck by a vehicle. Ms. Aughtry was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later due to her injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, who was not injured, stopped at the scene to render aid. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
