Hunter’s father Todd Helms posted a photo of his son and commented: “My boy after his first TD as a Tiger! He went 5 of 7 for 2TD’s. No words.”

Helms played his high school football at Gray Collegiate Academy in West Columbia. His former coach at Gray, Adam Holmes said: “Great day to be a War Eagle! Hunter Helms throws two TD passes for Clemson and (former Gray standout) Omarion Dollison was the leading receiver today for South Florida! So proud of these young men! Hard work.”

“Commitment, and belief are great ways to describe these young men! And they are true freshman!!!”
