West Columbia’s Hunter Helms, from Gray Collegiate Academy committed, Tuesday, to play college football at Holy Cross.

Helms, a quarterback, will play his senior year at Gray in 2019. He will play in 2020 at Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. It’s an FCS school.

Helms said he took an official visit last week to Holy Cross. He also visited other schools and had offers from Troy, Liberty, Elon and Tennessee Chattanooga, among others.
