West Columbia’s Gray Collegiate Academy won the AA State Basketball Championship Friday. The War Eagles defeated Oceanside Academy 44-40 at the Florence Civic Center.

It is the sixth State Basketball crown for Gray Head Coach Dion Bethea. The War Eagles were down by as many as 13-points in the first-half, but rallied for the victory. It’s Gray’s third straight championship and sixth in the last seven years.
