West Columbia’s Fall Back Fest is from 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 4) at the corner of State and Meeting Streets. It’s held in conjunction with the November State Street Art Crawl. The Meeting Street Artisan Market will also be open.  So come out and enjoy the cozy ambiance created by the café lights hung across the street. 

Two bands, Prettier than Matt and 76 and Sunny will be playing. There will be live mural art painting on State Street.

“We’re inviting everyone out to stroll, sip, shop, and dine,” said Kelli Ricard, Director of Events and Publications for the City of West Columbia. She said planning is going well and she expects it to be another extradentary event.  

West Columbia Mayor Tem Miles said the Fall Back Fest exemplifies the unity and the spirit of the people of West Columbia.

“I enjoy every minute of the Fall Back Fest,,” Miles said. “Not only do I get to see many friends and enjoy the fun with my family, I meet many new friends. Fall Back Fest is the perfect time to get out and enjoy the good music. It’s also a very good chance to go into the many diverse businesses in the WECO River District area.”

Ricard said Fall Back Fest is now a can’t-miss tradition and a rite of the fall season.

“Fall Back Fest has become a very much anticipated event. It’s very popular and very well attended.  And our merchants love the opportunity to open their doors for a fun and festive evening. The Meeting Street Artisan Market is also open and full of traffic,” said Ricard. She said Fall Back Fest is a fan favorite.

“The feedback we get from everyone who attends Fall Back Fest  has been great.  The bands are great. Prettier than Matt and 76 and Sunny are very well-known and well-liked.  And the live mural art painting is a unique opportunity to watch the creative process as it happens.”

Ricard also said Emerald Artistry will be set up at the market and caricatures by Kate Batten will be set up on State Street.
