Chris Smith, Midlands Coordinator for the National Day Of Prayer and Candidate for State Senate District 26 was presented with a resolution declaring May 2, as the State Day Of Prayer and honoring him for his 20 years of service by the entire House Of Representatives. A similar resolution was also issued by Gov. Henry McMaster.

Rep. John McCravy, who issued the resolution, said afterwards that having the entire body of representatives unite for this is a tribute to the 20 years of work Chris has done in the state house to promote unity.
