The Cayce Department of Public Safety is investigating the death of a female whose body was found in a home in the Northland Drive area in the early morning hours of Sunday. Northland Drive is off of 12th Street Extension. At this time there is no cause for concern of citizen safety, according to a release issued by Cayce Spokeswoman Ashley Hunter.

Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher identified the woman as Ms. Heather Renee Jordan, 30, of West Columbia. She was pronounced dead at the scene with the cause of death pending an autopsy. An autopsy has been scheduled for Thursday, at MUSC.

There are no additional details at this time as this is an ongoing investigation.
