West Columbia Walmart holds Grand-Re-Opening, Friday

The West Columbia Walmart store, on Augusta Road, held a Grand Re-Opening on Friday. The store Walmart1has been rearranged and upgraded with new paint, shined floors and new signage.

Cutting the ribbon on the store re-opening was Jackie Lightner, with scissors. Jackie – and the other employees cutting the ribbon – have 25 years or more with Walmart. The store employs about 400 people in West Columbia.

Several officials from West Columbia, and Sen. Katrina Shealy were on hand for the ribbon cutting. West columbia Administrator Brian Carter spoke, along with Cayce-West Columbia Chamber President Gregg Pinner and Alex Morris, from US Rep. Joe Wilson’s office. The Airport High School Drill Team presented the colors and Jennifer White sang a rousing rendition of the National Anthem.
