Lexington County Coroner, Margaret Fisher, has identified the individual who died in a single-vehicle accident near the intersection of Old Barnwell Road and White Knoll Way in Lexington shortly before 2:30 p.m., Sunday.

According to Fisher, Mr. Jorge Wyatt Rodriguez-Coleman, 19, of West Columbia was traveling westbound on Old Barnwell Road when the vehicle he was driving left the right side of the roadway, lost control, overturned, and landed in a creek. Mr. Rodriguez-Coleman, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries sustained.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
