West Columbia Riverwalk Reopens from Amphitheater to Cayce Connection
The City of West Columbia is excited to announce that the West Columbia Riverwalk Park (109 Alexander Road) is now open from the Amphitheater to the Cayce connection. This section of the Riverwalk had been closed for repairs following damage caused by Hurricane Helene.
While this reopening marks a significant step forward, the Amphitheater parking lot will remain closed as construction crews continue their work on the remaining repairs from the Gervais Street Bridge to the Moffatt Street Entrance. The Riverwalk entrance at Moffatt Street (100 Riverside Drive) will also stay closed until repairs are complete.
“We are thrilled to have our beautiful natural resource back open for the community to enjoy. I want to personally thank everyone for their patience during the repair process. The Riverwalk is a treasured part of our city, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back as we continue restoring the remaining sections,” said City of West Columbia Mayor Tem Miles.
