The City of West Columbia is beginning improvements to the West Columbia Riverwalk and Amphitheater at 109 Alexander Road, West Columbia, SC, to enhance one of its popular recreational destinations.

To accommodate the start of construction, the West Columbia Riverwalk parking lot will be temporarily closed on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, and will reopen on Thursday, July 9, 2026. The West Columbia Riverwalk and Amphitheater will remain open and accessible throughout the project.

As construction progresses, the West Columbia Riverwalk parking lot will have intermittent closures at various times during the project. Visitors are encouraged to use the City’s nearby free public parking locations, all within walking distance of the West Columbia Riverwalk and River District.
