West Columbia restaurants plan for Valentine’s week – Pamper your Valentine with a visit to the spa

Valentine’s Day is Wednesday (Feb. 14.) If you’re looking for a great gift to pamper your Valentine, Spa 131 offers an experience to enhance your mind, body, and spirit.

Spa 131

The elegant spa at 131 State Street   is owned by Marci Ruffin Delaney. She said a gift certificate to Spa 131 is an excellent way to show your loved one that you care. The spa has well-trained aestheticians and expert massage therapists. The staff offers customized treatments including: facials; massage; skincare; lash and brow services; spray tanning; waxing; wraps; and scrubs. Click  here to find out more about Spa 131

Love and dining are also popular activities for Valentine’s.

Reservations at West Columbia’s most-romantic restaurants are filling up fast. But that doesn’t mean you can’t get the Valentine’s Day vibe, even if you don’t book a seat at the table on the designated day.

“We’re encouraging everyone to come in on any day of the week to celebrate Valentine’s,” said Chef Mike Davis, who owns Terra at 100 State Street.

Black Rooster and the skyline

As of Tuesday afternoon, Davis said Terra is just about fully booked for Valentine’s Day, but the spirit of the day is in the air before and after Feb. 14. “Valentine’s Day is one of our favorite days of the year,” Davis said. “We love the whole week around it, too.”

Black Rooster, in the Brookland Development at the base of the Gervais Street Bridge, recently transitioned to an Italian menu. Kristian Neimi is Black Rooster’s owner and expert chef. He said Black Rooster will be offering specials for Valentine’s Day.

Nathan Vaughan is Black Rooster’s assistant manager. He said the restaurant will offer bottles of wine half-off on Valentine’s Day and there will be wine specials all week.

Terra

As of Tuesday afternoon, Black Rooster was booked solid for Valentine’s Day, but Vaughan said a full menu would be offered for patio and rooftop patrons, Wednesday, on a first-come-first-serve basis. The rooftop bar, overlooking the Congaree River, offers a fantastic view of the Columbia skyline. He also encouraged those who miss a Valentine’s evening reservation to book a table on another night of the week to enjoy the romantic ambiance of the restaurant.

Valentine’s Day is also special at DeLucca’s Italian Grill at 1720 Sunset Blvd, West Columbia.

DeLucca’s is featuring an exquisite four course menu that includes a variety of gourmet chef specialties for Wednesday, Feb. 14. If you have not booked your reservation yet, don’t wait. There are a limited number of spots available.  For reservations and detailed information call 803-926-5255.

La Cienega Mexican Grill and Seafood at 1607 Fairlane Drive (off of Sunset at Quail Hollow) is another option for Valentine’s. It has an expanded dining area and offers great food.

D’s Wings

While romance is the theme for many on Valentine’s Day, Billy Rentz of D’s Wings is inviting couples to his restaurant at 415 Meeting St., beside West Columbia’s Interactive Art Park and Artisan Market.

“Ds may not be the place for new couples, but if you’ve been together for 20 years and want to come out and eat, we celebrate all holidays at Ds,” Rentz said. “We will be here and we welcome everyone, all of Valentine’s week.”

Other locations to pamper the Valentine are: About You Aesthetics at Medical Park 1, 2728 Sunset Blvd No. 202 and About Face Wellness and Medical Spa at 519 Meeting St.

So if you want to get into the Valentine’s Day spirit, West Columbia’s restaurants are ready to serve you, be it on Wednesday or any other day of the week. And make sure the Valentine gets pampered, too.
