West Columbia Police respond to a shooting Monday evening
From the West Columbia Police Department – The West Columbia Police Department is currently (around 6:30 p.m.) on the scene of a shooting on the 300 block of Hudson Street. The investigation has shown the shooting to be an isolated incident and there is no danger in the area. Additionally, no injuries are being reported at this time. Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call the West Columbia Police Department at 803-794-0721 or to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers of the Midlands at crimesc.com or using their P3 Tips app.
West Columbia Mayor Tem Miles posted: “I just finished a meeting at City Hall with Chief Boyce on this shooting. I hope to have an update soon. Thank the Lord no one was struck.
West Columbia Councilman Joseph Dickey posted: “This shooting occurred on Hudson street and not in Carraway Park. If you have any information, please contact West Columbia Police Department. Thank you to our WCPD for their response and continued work to keep our community safe.”
