The West Columbia Police Department responded to 3,519 calls for service in October, according to data released by the WCPD.
Police made 87 arrests and there were 76 vehicle crashes, with 306 citations issued and 306 warning issued, in October. There were 25 DUI cases.

Hotspots for collisions were Sunset Boulevard near the I-26 interchange and Augusta Highway (US 1) near Dreher Road.
