West Columbia Police Department releases activity report for May, detailing intersections where the most vehicle collisions occurred

The West Columbia Police Department has issued data detailing the department’s activity for the month of May, including a report on the intersections where the most traffic accidents were. Link to WCPD Report for May

Four collisions occurred at Sunset Boulevard and Harbor Drive and four collisions occurred at Augusta Road and Hammond Avenue. There were three collisions at Augusta Road and Methodist Park Road and three collisions at Augusta Road and Woodside Parkway.

For the month of May there were 94 crashes in West Columbia. There were 86 in April. There were 668 traffic stops.

There were 19 DUIs investigated by the WCPD, compared to 11 in April. West Columbia officers wrote 323 citations and 421 warnings. Overall, there were 3,246 calls for service and 92 arrests.
