The West Columbia Police

West Columbia Police are on scene at the Hilton Garden Inn at 110 McSwain Drive in West Columbia. There is a barricaded subject. Police asked motorists to please stay clear of the area as law enforcement works to peaceably resolve the situation.

There were also units from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department on the scene and what looked to be a SWAT Team vehicle near McSwain Drive. The West Columbia Fire Department was on the scene, too. The report was first issued around 1:30 p.m. I-26 ramps were blocked too.
