West Columbia Animal Services is planning the 2nd Annual Patriotic Pet Day Saturday, Sept. 10, to celebrate rescue animals and the positive impact they have on the community. It’s from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bring your pets to visit over fifteen vendors such as Pawmetto Lifeline, Safe Cats Coalition, and the South Carolina Canine Academy that will be onsite providing information and services. Entertainment will be provided by singer/songwriter Emma Kate. For a $1 donation to one of the charities at the event, hot dogs will be available, as well as face painting and hair wrapping. Make sure to visit each vendor to get a sticker on your passport card to be entered to win prizes.
