Members of some neighborhood groups treated several West Columbia employees to a luncheon Friday.

Donations were collected from residents in the Westover Acres Community Crime Watch Club, Saluda Chase Homeowners Association, Westover Acres Homeowners Association, and the Guignard Neighborhood Association for the meal. It was held at the B Avenue Community Center.

Employees included the departments of Sanitation, Parks and Beautification, Maintenance, Water and Sewer and Utilities, said Jamie Hook, West Columbia Public Works director.

The luncheon has become an annual event. It is held to demonstrate appreciation the residents have for the city’s employees.
