In a video, West Columbia Mayor Tem Miles gives an overview of the damage to the West Columbia Riverwalk caused by Hurricane Helene and the repair status.

The damage includes a sink hole, small sections of the concrete path are washed out, rippled concrete and beams broken, under the Boardwalk. The damage has been documented, and West Columbia City Council will likely discuss bids to repair Riverwalk at the May meeting.

Miles said: “The Mayor, Council, and Staff are working hard to reopen the Riverwalk as fast as possible. We will keep you updated throughout the process through social media posts and regular updates to our website, www.westcolumbiasc.gov.
