West Columbia Mayor Tem Miles elected chairman, Jimmy Brooks elected Mayor Pro-Tem of City Council

West Columbia Mayor Tem Miles was elected by West Columbia City Council as the chairman of the council. Jimmy Brooks was elected Mayor Pro-Tem. The officers were elected at Tuesday’s council meeting.

Miles had served as Mayor Pro-Tem in his last term on council before being elected mayor. The chairman of the council is elected for a one-year term. The Mayor Pro-Tem is elected for a two-year term. Brooks represents Council District No. 6, which is on the northwest side of West Columbia.
