Units from the West Columbia Fire Department and the West Columbia Police Department were on scene of an incident in 2000 Block of August Road near Hook Ave., Wednesday afternoon.

Power lines were reported as being down and in the road around 5:45 p.m. All lanes were shut down and traffic was being diverted. Emergency responders asked drivers to p lease avoid the area.
