Units from the West Columbia Fire Department are on the scene on Goldfinch Lane in Westover acres in West Columbia. Waldo Medlin shot video – link to Facebook video – of the fire and posed it just after 12 noon, Wednesday. A credible source said there is a fatality linked to the fire, but the coroner has not yet confirmed.

The fire was extinguished. West Columbia Police, EMS, Lexington County officials and state fire investigators are on the scene.
