The West Columbia Mayor and City Council recognized Brian Habing at the regular City Council meeting, Tuesday.

A West Columbia resident, Brian began his career as an Associate Professor of Statistics at the University of South Carolina in 1998. Since then, Brian’s many accomplishments at USC have been both significant and impactful for students and the university. Brian has also served in Scouts as a Den Leader, Cubmaster, and Committee Chair for Cub Scout Pack 308 at Providence Presbyterian Church, a Committee Member for Scout Troop 1 at Faith Lutheran Church, and President for the Westover Acres HOA neighboring association.

The Mayor and City Council recognize Brian for his dedication to education and the West Columbia community, commend him for his achievements and extend its best wishes for continued success in his future endeavors!
