West Columbia Beautification Foundation To Hold Yard of Month Competition

The West Columbia Beautification Foundation is recognizing the hard work West Columbia residents have been doing in their yards with a Beautification Foundation Yard of the Month Award.
Chairperson Melissa Sprouse Browne said, “We are excited to have this opportunity to recognize our community members who have worked so hard to beautify their corners of West Columbia. It is a great extension of the West Columbia Beautification Foundation efforts and we are honored to recognize them in the community.”
The Foundation is asking residents to submit pictures to their Facebook page at facebook.com/beautifywcolasc, before the end-of-day, on June 20th, to be considered for the award. The award will be presented at the July 9, 2020, 8:30 AM meeting, in the New Brookland Room, at West Columbia City Hall, 200 N. 12th Street, West Columbia, SC.
To be considered, you MUST:
- Post the picture of the yard to the West Columbia Beautification Facebook Page: facebook.com/beautifywcolasc using the hashtag #beautifywecosc
- Include the address of the picture and your contact information (either on the post, in a private message to the page, or to [email protected])
The winner will be presented with a yard sign placed in the yard, a picture taken with a Foundation member, and a bag of goodies filled with local business donations.
