
West Columbia 21-year-old shot and killed in Cayce, early Saturday morning, alleged shooter also dies after
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has released the identity of the person who was shot and killed at a home in the 1500 block of Granby Road, in Cayce, at approximately 4:27 a.m., Saturday.
Fisher states that Mr. Zaquan Payden Glover, 21, of West Columbia was shot several times in the upper body and died on the scene from his injuries. Cayce Department of Public Safety is continuing it’s investigation into this homicide.
In a related incident, the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department got into a vehicle pursuit with what is being reported to the Lexington County Coroner’s Office as the suspect’s vehicle in the above homicide.
It was reported that deputies with the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department attempted to pull the suspect’s vehicle over but the suspect/driver fled and a chase began. It was reported that deputies forcefully disabled the car near the State Farmer’s Market at which time the alleged suspect who is
identified as Aaron Franklin Aycock, 26, of Lexington exited the vehicle and opened fire, also shooting
himself. Mr. Aycock was transported to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. He died on
Sunday at 3:07 p.m. from that gunshot wound. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday at MUSC in Charleston.
The SC Law Enforcement Division as well as Cayce Department of Public Safety continue to
investigate this incident.
