The Greater CWC Chamber of Commerce has partnered with West Metro News and the City of West Columbia to promote businesses that attract visitors to our community, and visitor/tourism opportunities.

Triangle City in West Columbia is the home of two of the most-successful businesses in West Columbia. Ronnie Jeffcoat of Ronnie’s Jewelers, at 710 12th St., and Peggy Ledford of Creative Sewing Machine Center, at 519 12th St., are thriving. Both are in the shadow of Zesto and the iconic gigantic ice cream cone that stands outside the popular restaurant. Zesto has been in Triangle City since the early 1960s. Zesto is owned by Gus and Pete Manos.

“Triangle City is a great place to be,” Ronnie said. “We’re in the middle of everything. There’s lots of traffic coming by every day.”

“I would not want to be any other place,” Peggy said. “I love Triangle City and West Columbia.” Peggy said she is easy to find for all the sewing groups that meet at her business. “The location is so good because when you give directions, all you have to say is ‘it’s across from Zesto’s.”

Tim James is the President and CEO of the Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce. He said Ronnie’s and Creative Sewing are the epitome of small local businesses that make up the backbone of the community.

“Both businesses have a record of serving generations of families in West Columbia,” James said. “These are not just business owners, Ronnie and Peggy are friends and their patrons know they can count on them. I’m proud to have both businesses in our community.”

Ronnie has been in the Jewelry business since 1970. He said he started serving the parents, then the children and now the grandchildren of his first customers.

Peggy opened her business in 2006 and she has added services and products over the years. She is one of the top sewing machines, and sewing centers, in the region.

Ronnie’s sells gold, diamonds and silver jewelry. He also sells earrings, pendants, watches, and engagement rings. Ronnie’s can repair it and clean your jewelry.

Creative Sewing Machine Center markets sewing and embroidery machines by Babylock, Brother and Janome. The shop also has an inventory of 5,000 bolts of fabric in the 18,000-sq-ft facility. A Creative Sewing Machine Center purchase includes unlimited training at no extra cost. Creative Sewing sells a multitude of accessories and a service department to repair sewing machines.
