The West Columbia Police Department released crime and accident data for the month of September. The report showed that 47 vehicle collisions were investigated and 234 citations were issued. There were 498 traffic stops made.

There were 24 DUI arrests made and three vehicle thefts. “Suspicious Person” was the top reason for a call to the WCPD and 105 arrests were made, overall.
