Volunteers pick up a mountain of litter in West Columbia, Saturday – Photo Gallery

Some were in elementary school and others retired. Residents from all walks of life came together. Volunteers picked up bags and bags of litter from the streets of West Columbia, Saturday. It was part o the City-Wide Litter Pick Up.

West Columbia Mayor Tem Miles said 270 volunteers signed up to pick up litter. “It shows that the citizens of West Columbia care about their community,” Miles said. “I’m very impressed with the effort of everyone.”
