The Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to Steve Cohen by the Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Wednesday during the Chamber’s annual unGala. It was held at Stone River in West Columbia. While Steve is known for serving on the Board for many years, his time and work towards making things happen has been paramount.

After serving his maximum term as a board member, Steve noted that he would remain involved, and that he did- spending even more time at the Chamber.

Over the last year, you would have found Steve securing all the food for an event, pulling the grill to the location and cooking and serving, Steve is the “on-call” maintenance man for the Chamber, he has served as a lead in the annual Christmas Parade, and most significant, for 20 years straight, Steve Cohen has given of his time each Spring and Fall to organize the Rhythm on the River Concert Series.
