Coroner Margaret Fisher said that Christian William Kallenbach, 49, of Chapin died as a result of the injuries he sustained when the motorcycle he was operating alone was traveling in the 3000 block of Wessinger Road in Chapin when the motorcycle left the roadway on the right side and went into a ditch.

Kallenbach was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the accident.  An autopsy will be performed on Monday, to determine the cause of death.  Kallenbach was not wearing a helmet.

The accident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
