Victim in early Wednesday fatality identified
Driver killed overnight in single-vehicle accident in Lexington County is identified.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher states that at approximately 12:15 A.M. on November 4, 2015, a Ford F-250 truck was traveling on Caney Branch Road toward Windmill Road in Leesville when the driver of the truck identified by Coroner Fisher as Anthony Todd Risinger, 42, of Leesville failed to stop at a stop sign and his truck crossed over Windmill Road and struck a tree.
Lexington County Fire Service and Lexington County Emergency Medical Services responded and Mr. Risinger was pronounced dead at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the accident.
An autopsy will be performed on November 4, 2015 to determine the cause of death in this accident. It is believed that Mr. Risinger was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
This accident remains under the investigation of the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
