
Vehicle vs. moped accident results in fatality on Charleston Highway, in Lexington County
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the person who died in a vehicle vs. moped accident in the 3400 block of Charleston Highway in the West Columbia area of Lexington County
shortly after 3 a.m., Thursday.
According to Fisher, Mr. Brandon Edward Clance, 34, of West Columbia was traveling westbound on Charleston Highway when he was struck from behind by a vehicle. Mr. Clance, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene due to his injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured and remained on the scene. The Lexington County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate the incident.
