Vehicle runs off interstate near the Broad River and catches fire, emergency crews on the scene

A vehicle went over the rail of I-126 near Elmwood Avenue, over the the Broad and Saluda rivers in Columbia, Wednesday afternoon. Emergency crews are on the scene above the bridge and on the ground. A Columbia Police report stated that a vehicle drove off the bridge on I-126 Westbound from Elmwood and caught fire just before the river. The condition of the occupant is not known.
