Vehicle hits overpass pillar on I-20, man dies
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who died due to a single-vehicle accident at approximately 1:40 Monday afternoon on Interstate 20 Eastbound, between mile markers 48 and 49 in Lexington County.
According to Fisher, Bryan C. Andrews, 21, of Martinez, GA was killed when his vehicle left the road and struck the pillar of an overpass bridge.
Andrews, who is believed to have been wearing his seatbelt when the collision occurred, died at the scene due to injuries sustained upon impact.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol investigation of the accident is ongoing.
