Upgrades to Springdale, Saluda River schools mean changes in 2017-18

A couple of Lexington School District Two’s elementary schools are undergoing major upgrades in the 2017-2018 school year.

Due to extensive school renovations, students from Saluda River Academy for the Arts will attend school at the vacated Taylor Elementary School for the 2017-18 school year. It’s at 103 Ann Lane, Cayce.

Also, due to extensive school renovations, students from Springdale Elementary School will attend school at the vacated Davis Early Childhood Center for Technology for the 2017-18 school year. It’s at 2305 Frink Street, Cayce.

District officials approved plans to improve those schools in addition to the construction of new elementary schools in Cayce and West Columbia.

Plans are for students to return to Saluda River and Springdale, once those schools are upgraded.
